Christoph Baumgartner continues rehab at ÖFB training camp in the USA

One week after undergoing a successful procedure following a muscle injury, Christoph Baumgartner will continue his rehabilitation at the Austria national team's training camp in Santa Barbara, USA. The midfielder sustained the injury ahead of Austria's international friendly against Tunisia on 1st June.

Baumgartner will travel to the United States today (Wednesday, 10th June) and will work on his recovery in optimal conditions, with medical support provided by the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB) and in close coordination with RB Leipzig. The arrangement reflects the wishes of the 26-year-old, who was keen to complete his rehabilitation within the national team environment and support his teammates in person during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
