Christophe Le Roux named Stade Brestois recruitment director | OneFootball

Christophe Le Roux, 57, has joined Stade Brestois as director of recruitment, with Matthieu Laot to serve as his deputy. The club said in a statement on Monday that he will lead a fully revamped recruitment department.

Brest are overhauling their structure and, after unveiling their new head coach, have now moved to appoint one of his key collaborators.

Left without a sporting director following Grégory Lorenzi’s departure to OM, Brest were not planning to replace the role like for like.

A Breton by background, Le Roux spent his entire playing career in the region with Lorient, Vannes, Guingamp, Nantes and Rennes.

The Morbihan native later held senior posts at FCL, working as youth coordinator in 2008, head of recruitment in 2014, then sporting director from 2015 until his exit in 2022. Laot is currently technical and tactical director at the Ligue professionnelle des entraîneurs.
