Christopher Nkunku out of Cagliari v AC Milan with ankle problem | OneFootball

According to L'Équipe, AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri said on Thursday that Christopher Nkunku will miss Friday's trip to Cagliari due to an ankle issue. The fixture is the 18th round of Serie A.

The France international had hoped to build on his first Serie A brace in the 3-0 win over Hellas Verona last weekend.

Neither the nature of the problem nor the length of the 28-year-old's absence was disclosed.

Nkunku, capped 18 times for France with 2 goals, has endured frequent setbacks over the past two seasons and sustained a minor foot issue in October.

Milan's attack is stretched. Rafael Leao is easing back after a month out, while top scorer Christian Pulisic, on 10 goals, trained separately all week. New arrival Niclas Füllkrug arrived on Thursday morning from West Ham and will be on the bench.
