The final choice is expected to come down to Achraf Hakimi (PSG), Ousmane Dembélé (PSG, France), and Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona, Spain). But for the CIES Football Observatory, the decision is already made. In its most recent weekly report, the organization had some fun by ranking "the 100 best players in the world over the past year using a purely statistical method that takes into account outfield players’ performances across six areas of play, as well as their usage, sporting level, and the results of matches they played in."
