After lifting the League Cup earlier this season, a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday sealed an eighth FA Cup triumph.

It marks our second domestic double, following on from the 2018/19 campaign when we won all four major trophies in English football.

Only four clubs have ever won the League Cup and FA Cup in the same season, with only Liverpool previously doing so twice (2000/01 and 2021/22).

Arsenal in 1992/93 and Chelsea in 2006/07 are the two sides to have achieved the feat once.

This trophy marks Pep Guardiola’s 20th since arriving at City in 2016, with five coming in the League Cup and three in the FA Cup.

No manager has won the League Cup as many times as Guardiola, while City’s run of four in a row between 2018 and 2021 is a record.

Meanwhile, we are the first side ever to reach eight consecutive FA Cup semi-final and four straight finals.

During Guardiola’s time in England, no side has won more League Cup ties (29) and FA Cup matches (46) than City.

Having also won six Premier League titles, Guardiola has achieved an unprecedented level of consistency across competitions deep into the season.

Congratulations to Pep, his staff and the players on another huge achievement!
