Saturday’s 2-1 semi-final victory at Wembley against Southampton saw Pep Guardiola’s side secure our place in next month’s showpiece and in the process become the first-ever English side to appear in four consecutive FA Cup finals.
That record-breaking fourth successive FA Cup final appearance will take place on Saturday 16 May 2026 with the kick-off confirmed for 15.00 (UK).
In next month’s final City will face the winners of tomorrow’s second semi-final between Chelsea and Leeds United, with that game also getting underway at 15.00 (UK).
Goals from Jeremy Doku and Nico Gonzalez cancelled out a Finn Azaz opener and secured Saturday’s semi-final victory against the Championship side.
City’s run to Wembley also included earlier victories against Exeter City, Salford City, Newcastle United and Liverpool.
The Blues will now be seeking to add the FA Cup to the Carabao Cup which we secured with a 2-0 Wembley victory against Arsenal last month.
We will also be targeting an eighth triumph in the competition overall, having first lifted the famous trophy in 1904.
Guardiola has previously lifted the FA Cup twice, first in 2018/19 and then 2022/23.
He has also created another slice of history in guiding the club to a record run of eight consecutive semi-final appearances.
