Speculation surrounding a potential exchange deal being on the cards between La Liga outfit Sevilla and their counterparts at Aston Villa has today been firmly shut down.
This comes amid confirmation that Diego Carlos will not be heading to Spain as part of any potential January deal for Loïc Badé.
The name of defender Badé has emerged as a prominent one in the media headlines in Spain and England alike over the course of recent days.
As much comes amid confirmation that the aforementioned Aston Villa are working towards securing the Frenchman’s signature before the month is out.
With Sevilla expected to seek out a replacement for a key member of the club’s backline in the case of Badé moving on in January, one option touted as a potential arrival in Andalusia was none other than Diego Carlos.
The Brazilian could find himself as surplus to requirements in the case of Villa landing their man over the coming weeks, therefore tipped to replace Badé in García Pimienta’s squad.
No such move, however, is currently being considered.
As confirmed by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Carlos has instead emerged as a leading target on the part of Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray.
