With more than two weeks to go before the La Liga Clasico, Rodrygo is already firing the first shots.

Back with the Brazilian national team this October for two friendlies against Japan and South Korea, Rodrygo opened up about his time at Real Madrid. In a lengthy interview with AS, the Brazilian winger reflected on his challenging 2024-25 season, which drew heavy criticism and even sparked persistent rumors of a summer transfer. "I went through a very difficult period on a personal level. I spent a long time without talking to anyone. Nobody knew what I was going through. It was a really tough time. I wasn't well, neither physically nor mentally." he admitted.

On another note, the player has already shared his thoughts about the upcoming Clasico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, the home of Los Blancos. For Rodrygo, there will be no room for the Catalans this season. "We have to beat Barça in the Clasico, no matter how. Last year, it was horrible for us against Barça, and this time we're playing at home, at the Bernabéu. We have to show who Real Madrid is." he declared, before adding: "When you arrive in Madrid, the first thing you dream about is scoring against Barcelona and winning the Champions League. That's always on my mind, and before every Clasico I picture it: scoring a goal against them."
