Club vs Country: Barcelona Set to Block Lamine Yamal From Spain Duty

Barcelona are preparing to defy the Spanish national team over teenage sensation Lamine Yamal according to reports in Spain on Monday.

Lingering Concerns

Yamal'd recently been sidelined with pubic bone discomfort .. a problem Barcelona believe was aggravated during the last international break when Spain played him in qualifiers against Bulgaria & Turkey despite ongoing pain.

Club vs Country Tension

Spanish outlet Ara reports that Barca’s plan is to field Yamal against Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday and against Sevilla in La Liga on Sunday.

However the Catalan club are determined to stop him joining Spain’s October camp where Luis de la Fuente’s side face Georgia & Bulgaria in World cup qualifying.

The club intend to combine limited game minutes with continuous treatment to avoid recurrence or worsening of the injury which in extreme cases could require surgery.

Officials believe keeping Yamal in Barcelona during the international break offers the best chance to secure his long term fitness.
