Aston Villa youngster Finley Munroe has been the subject of enquiries from Championship clubs who want to take the left full-back on loan, Hayters.com understands.
The highly rated 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Real Union in Spain where he impressed, playing 24 times for the club.
Real Union is part owned by Aston Villa owners V Sports and first-team boss Unai Emery, who has been to watch the side on many occasions and has monitored Munroe’s progress closely.
The full-back, who is first cousins with Arsenal and England star Declan Rice, has now been the subject of loan interest from Championship clubs, following his performances in Spain, while there has also been interest from clubs in La Liga too.
The young Englishman has played twice for the Villa first team, making his debut under Emery in Villa’s Conference League semi-final in May 2024 and also made his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace later that year.
Emery and his coaching staff will now take a look at the defender during pre-season before making a decision on his future.
Fellow full-back Kaine Kesler-Hayden, meanwhile, is another who could depart the Villains this summer, though the 22-year-old is more likely to leave on a permanent basis.
He has spent time out on loan at Swindon Town, MK Dons, Huddersfield Town, Plymouth Argyle and Preston North End, making 51 appearances for the latter in all competitions last season.
Villa are open to letting the youngster leave on a permanent deal, with Kesler-Hayden having attracted interest from clubs both in the Championship and abroad.
They would like to get a deal done before the end of the month – the deadline for the latest PSR (profit and sustainability rules) period.
