CM: ‘Another psychodrama’ – Conceicao ‘not at risk yet’ after consecutive defeats | OneFootball

Despite another loss in midweek, AC Milan are not making any considerations about the future of Sergio Conceicao, at least not yet.

Things around Milan have gone from fantastic to awful in the space of less than two months. The excitement of winning the Supercoppa Italiana has disappeared and the club are now in a very dangerous position.

Pessimism is high, understandably, frustrations are higher, and there is a feeling of dread just lulling around the Rossoneri, making it a very toxic place. Unfortunately, it seems that those feelings have now leaked onto the field.

Despite the fallout, it seems that there are no extreme actions set to occur just yet, and Calciomercato.com reports that the Portuguese coach is ‘not at risk yet’, despite losing the past two games in Serie A.

Whilst his long-term future will remain a topic of speculation, the club are currently not planning on any immediate decisions to find another head coach during this season. However, that could again change.

The report states that the game against Lazio holds the weight of a ‘last resort fixture’. Whilst Conceicao is having to deal with the wait of an underperforming side, he also has made some questionable decisions.

However, it seems that a summer change will still be more likely than sacking the Portuguese after the Lazio game.
