Sergio Conceicao may have even more injury problems to contend with as Christian Pulisic and Malick Thiaw are set to undergo scans on muscle problems.
Milan came from behind to beat Como 2-1 last night at the Stadio Sinigaglia, but as Calciomercato.com report it was not all good news. Conceicao stated after the game that three of the substitutions he made were due to physical issues, sounding an alarm.
At the end of the first half, in the 44th minute, Pulisic stopped after chasing a ball on the right wing. Initially, the problem seemed to be related to a kick on the calf from Como defender Marc-Oliver Kempf, but subsequently the American collapsed to the ground touching the back of his left thigh.
Conceiçao did not make any changes immediately, then making a triple substitution at the break: Tammy Abraham, Alex Jimenez and Yunus Musah came on, while Alvaro Morata and Ismael Bennacer also went off in addition to Pulisic.
Pulisic is therefore suffering from a muscle problem in the flexor of his left leg, more precise indications are awaited. The troubles did not end there, because during the second half Milan also lost Malick Thiaw.
In the 68th minute Conceiçao sent Matteo Gabbia onto the field and the reason was also a flexor problem that the German central defender sustained. Both will have MRI scans to understand the extent of the damage, with the Juventus game obviously at high risk.
