It was the City midfielder’s first outing in the competition in 2026, helping the United States pick up a second successive win following their 2-0 opening triumph over Argentina.

It was a tight affair in a match-up that always provides high quality, exciting football.

The home side enjoyed more of the ball throughout the match, and in turn that also meant more opportunities in front of goal, with Coffey helping orchestrate play from the United States engine room.

But it wasn’t until the 55th minute Emma Hayes’ side broke the deadlock with former Blue Rose Lavelle teeing up Ally Sentnor.

Canada’s Rose had another stalwart game in defence, reducing the US to just four shots on target from their 18 attempts.

With the US on six points and Canada on three, it’s still all to play for in the SheBelieves Cup, with Coffey and Rose vying for silverware with their respective teams as they head into the final round of matches which will see the United States take on Colombia and Canada face Argentina, with both games taking place on Saturday 7 March.

Also in action in the late hours of Wednesday evening, Kerolin featured as a second half substitute in Brazil’s friendly against Venezuela.

The City forward faced a difficult task when she was introduced on 62 minutes.

Maiara Miehues was shown a second yellow card on 33 minutes and Brazil quickly found themselves 2-0 down four minutes into the second half.

Kerolin still proved to be a threat, her pace and power continuously causing issues for Venezuela.

However, Jaqueline’s strike on 77 minutes proved to be just a consolation to complete their first international camp of 2026.

City v Spurs: Everything to Play For

We’re back in action at the Joie Stadium on Saturday 21 March, when we welcome Tottenham Hotspur for a 12:00 (UK) kick-off.

City sit top of the WSL table with just six matches remaining, boasting a 100% record on home soil, but that’ll be put to the test against the visitors.

Indeed, Spurs still hold faint hopes of European qualification and have lost just once on the road in 2026, even winning their last away fixture in the WSL 7-3 at Aston Villa.

It all points towards another thrilling clash at the Joie Stadium. Seated tickets available from just £15 for adults and £6 for Under-16s, with standing tickets on sale for just £13 for adults or £5 for Under-16s.

Don’t miss out as City’s push for the WSL title continues!
