Cole Palmer has insisted his excellent record from the penalty spot isn’t down to practice and is instead down to talent and composure.
Once again Palmer has been Chelsea’s main man this season, with the 22-year-old scoring 14 goals and providing six assists in the league so far.
The England international has been leading the way in Chelsea’s attack, but after a promising start to the season, the Blues are in a poor run of form.
Chelsea are currently on a run of two wins in their last eight league matches, whilst they were dumped out of the FA Cup by Brighton on Saturday.
Enzo Maresca’s men still remain fourth in the table, although with Nicolas Jackson ruled out until April they face an uphill battle to qualify for the top four.
The Blues are no doubt working hard to try and rediscover their form from earlier in the season, but even Palmer has struggled in recent weeks.

Palmer hasn’t scored or assisted in the last four games in all competitions, and Craig Burley’s claimed he’s stopped influencing games.
However, it doesn’t paint the full picture as he’s been let down by his team-mates, because he’s created the most chances in Europe’s top five leagues since December.
Chelsea might need a bit of luck to set them on their way, perhaps a penalty or a lucky goal and Palmer has been speaking about his incredible record from the spot.
“I don’t practice them,” he told Chelsea’s website.

“Maybe I’ll take like three penalties the day before a game, but it’s not something I practice. But as long as I score, I don’t mind how the goals come.”
Chelsea will be hoping Palmer can score plenty more goals this season, starting against Brighton on Friday night, but ultimately it doesn’t matter who scores as long as the Blues pick up the three points.
