Colo Colo have ruled out signing Víctor Dávila as the América forward nears a return from injury.

Colo Colo's president said Dávila is not an option and that the club are not looking to sign injured players to recover.

Dávila joined América in September 2024 after shining in Russia and impressing in Liga MX with León, Pachuca and Necaxa. Within a month he suffered a fracture and missed the rest of that tournament.

In Clausura 2025, injuries to team-mates opened the door and he started regularly, scoring in several successive games. His form tailed off as the campaign progressed, and he could not rediscover it in Apertura 2025.

He then sustained a ligament rupture that ruled him out of the entire Clausura 2026. Shortly before that setback, Colo Colo had shown strong interest, but América declined to sell and weeks later the injury struck.

Dávila is a couple of months from returning, which has rekindled speculation over a switch. For now he will continue his recovery at América, and if no exit happens this window, the club are likely to register him for Apertura 2026 with a September return planned.
