Como have coronated their long and determined chase of Trevoh Chalobah, while they aren’t close to Moise Kean, despite the recent chatter in that sense, Alfredo Pedullà reports.

Chalobah will finally join Como after being attached to a Serie A move for a few transfer market windows, while Moise Kean is staying at Fiorentina for the time being. The striker might have been proposed by intermediaries to the Biancoblù. The two sides never had any real meeting or conversation to negotiate his transfer.

The Viola aren’t shopping their star. They would be totally fine with keeping him if no team put €40M or so on the table. Plus, his salary is an obstacle for most suitors.

Our Take on Como, Chalobah, and Kean

They tend not to miss when they zero in on somebody, unless it turns into a real bidding war, and their appeasement with Inter helped with that. Time will tell whether they made the right choice. They could have gone in many directions with that kind of money. It’s a little disappointing that they didn’t choose an Italian player. They need a few for their lists, and it’s not too hard to find solid defenders.

As for the Fiorentina marksman, foreign destinations, arguably even exotic ones, are more likely, given how much the whole shebang amounts to. But it’d be better for him and the club if he stuck around after a poor campaign for both.
