Como ‘to make’ most serious move for Liberali | OneFootball

Como are stepping up their pursuit of Mattia Liberali, the former Milan youth midfielder who caught the eye at Catanzaro last season.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Como appear to be making the most serious move for the attacking midfielder. They are said to remain keen even if Nico Paz stays at the club.

Liberali left Milan last summer in a permanent switch to Catanzaro, then produced an impressive debut campaign in Serie B.

His form grew after the turn of the year, helping Catanzaro reach the play-offs and come close to promotion, which drew top-flight attention.

Fiorentina, Alberto Aquilani’s Sassuolo and Ignazio Abate’s Torino have shown interest in recent days.

Liberali is available via a release clause of around €six million, and Milan retain a 50% sell-on clause, meaning they would bank a significant portion of any fee.
