Confirmed: Barcelona to play pre-season friendly against CE Europa in July | OneFootball

With the start of FC Barcelona’s pre-season only a couple of weeks away, the plans and schedule for Hansi Flick’s team is starting to take full shape.

The players will report back to the training facilities on July 13 and will undergo medicals and physical tests before beginning the pre-season camp under the German tactician.

The Blaugrana are scheduled to fly to England where they will have a week-long training camp in Birmingham, while they will also play one friendly game against Birmingham City.

Now, it has been confirmed that Barcelona will play another pre-season friendly against lower-league club CE Europa.

It will be a behind-closed-doors game that will take place on 24 July, right before the Blaugrana take off for their trip to England.

Club Esportiu Europa is a Spanish football team based in the city of Barcelona, with close links to the Vila de Gracia, in the community of Catalonia. They currently compete in the RFEF Primera Federacion – Group 2, the third tier of Spanish football.

Managed by former Girona defender Aday Benitez, CE Europa managed to secure a fifth-place finish in the 2025/26 season in the Primera Federacion.

The match will take place at the club’s Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper facilities, providing Flick an opportunity to take a good look at the players before making a final decision on who flies to England and who does not.
