Manchester City take on Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal for a place in the quarter-final stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
Pep Guardiola and his players come into Monday night’s clash with the Saudi Pro League giants fresh off the back of a 2-5 victory over Juventus in their final group stage encounter – making themselves the only side in the competition to win all three group matches.
Manchester City have also found out that, as a result of a shock 0-2 win over Inter Milan, they will face Brazilian side Fluminense in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup should they manage a win over Al Hilal.
Simone Inzaghi’s side secured their place in the knockout stages of the tournament via second-placed finish in Group H, behind only Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid in an impressive group campaign from them.
Claudio Echeverri remains Manchester City’s only injury-induced absentee, while Rico Lewis will complete his three-game suspension at the tournament through the club’s meeting with Al Hilal this week, becoming available in a potential quarter-final outing.
