The confirmed Newcastle team v West Ham has now been announced.
Eddie Howe’s side returning to Premier League action.
This afternoon’s match sees United looking to make it four wins in a row.
It follows a trio of victories at St James’ Park, all in different competitions.
After having won 3-0 against Benfica in the Champions League, Newcastle United then picked up three points in the Premier League when winning 2-1 against Fulham, then a 2-0 against Spurs to move into the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
A win today would make it six victories in the last seven matches for Newcastle, in all competitions.
It would also ensure Eddie Howe’s side in the top half of the Premier League after this weekend’s matches.
Newcastle United hoping to build further on a great record at the London Stadium, having won four of the last six visits and drawn the other two.
Newcastle team v West Ham:
Pope, Krafth, Thiaw, Botman, Burn, Bruno, Joelinton, Tonali, Gordon, Woltemade, Murphy
So six changes to the eleven that started against Spurs.
Pope, Botman, Bruno, Joelinton, Gordon, Murphy
Ramsdale, Schar, Barnes, Elanga, Willock, Ramsey
Subs:
Ramsdale, Hall, Schar, Barnes, Osula, Elanga, Willock, Miley, Ramsey
Great to see Lewis Hall able to return to the matchday squad, disappointing though to see Kieran Trippier unavailable.
However, the official club site states that it is illness and not an injury that has ruled Trippier out today.
