Confirmed: Roma to present final stadium project on 21 April | OneFootball

The path towards the construction of the new Roma stadium in Pietralata is about to enter a crucial phase.

After months of obstacles, accelerations and slowdowns, the club and the Municipality of Rome seem close to finally unblocking the situation.

The date chosen for the official presentation of the definitive project is not accidental: April 21, the day of the birth of Rome, will also be the day of the “birthday of Roma”, with the Giallorossi facility ready to take a decisive step towards its construction, writes Corriere della Sera.

A symbolic date, which could mark the concrete beginning of the new chapter in the club’s history.

After the presentation, the dossier will be passed to the Campidoglio, which will start the Conference of Services, during which it will be verified that the project respects all the municipal requests.

A key aspect is that of transport, for which Roma has already presented a detailed plan in recent days.

Once this step has been completed, the international tender for the assignment of the works will proceed, which should start in the coming months.

According to Mayor Roberto Gualtieri, Roma’s new home should be completed by 2028.
