Sky Germany understands that RB Leipzig are neither in agreement with Nadiem Amiri nor currently in negotiations with Mainz.

Meanwhile, Bild claims the parties had successfully negotiated yesterday.

No formal offer has been submitted to Mainz, and Amiri sits on an extended Leipzig shortlist.

The 29-year-old is regarded as an exciting option by the Saxony club, although discussions have not taken off and could yet develop.

Leipzig’s preferred forward target remains Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Asllani. For that move, a sale of Real Madrid-linked Yan Diomande for around 120 million would be hugely significant.
