According to Globo.com, CONMEBOL has moved Recoleta-PAR v Santos in the Copa Sudamericana group stage, scheduled for 5 May at 21:30 Brasília time, from Asunción to Pedro Juan Caballero.
The change benefits travelling Santos fans, as Pedro Juan Caballero sits on the border with Ponta Porã in Mato Grosso do Sul.
The confederation sent its notice to the CBF and the Paraguayan Football Association on Wednesday.
Santos have only one point after two rounds. They opened with defeat to Deportivo Cuenca in Ecuador, then drew 1-1 with Recoleta, who fielded a reserve side at Vila Belmiro.
The Brazilian club are bottom of Group D. Only the group winner advances straight to the last 16. The runner-up enters a play-off against a Libertadores third-placed side for a last-16 berth, in a competition the club regard as a title opportunity this season.
