Copa del Rey semi-finals: three clubs already in the mix

Three teams have already secured their tickets to the semi-finals of the 2025/2026 Copa del Rey: FC Barcelona, Real Sociedad, and Athletic Bilbao.

Barça punched their ticket after a hard-fought clash against Albacete, sealing a 2-1 victory. Athletic Bilbao also booked their spot by defeating Valencia with the same scoreline. Meanwhile, Real Sociedad clinched their place in the final four after a spectacular win over Alavés (3-2).

The quarter-finals continue this Thursday evening with the showdown between Atlético Madrid and Real Betis, which will determine the fourth and final semi-finalist.

Semi-final draw date and format

The draw for the semi-finals will take place on Friday at 12:00 GMT via the official platforms of the Spanish Football Federation.

Unlike the previous rounds, which were single-leg knockout ties, the semi-finals will be contested over two legs, home and away.

It is also worth noting that Real Madrid, 20-time winners of the tournament, bowed out in the round of 16 after their defeat to Albacete (3-2).
