Assessment of Rubén Iranzo

Iranzo has been training with the first team since preseason. I want to highlight his personality and character; he gives his all for the club every day. He's come up through the ranks, and I'm very happy for him. He's helped us in every tie by performing at a very high level and has very positive values. He's an example for all the youngsters in the VCF Academy.

The substitution of Tárrega for Copete

The substitution was planned. We knew they would each play 45 minutes because we need them to be fresh on Sunday. We saw that the team were committed and achieved what we wanted. I saw determination. This competition is very important for us; we wanted to be in the next round, and we leave here with a good feeling.

Assessment of Ramazani and Sadiq

I really liked Sadiq's performance. He was a key player, providing continuity. He scored his first goal since arriving, which is a positive. Ramazani also made a positive contribution, as did his teammates, to secure the victory.

The importance of advancing in the Copa del Rey

Happiness always helps; it boosts confidence. The team have been taking things seriously in the Copa del Rey and are showing that even when facing lower-division teams, it's not easy. You have to adapt to the opponents, to the match, and to the context, and today Valencia CF rose to the occasion.

The trickiness of the game

It was anything but a formality, or a pleasant game to play. We know this is a demanding and treacherous competition; we have to approach each match with the utmost seriousness, as we saw yesterday. We have to be able to stick together and suffer through any problems.

Chants from the home fans

We focus on what happens on the pitch and take responsibility for the situations we have to face in order to improve as a team.

The transfer market

The loss of Diakhaby is a painful one because it creates a need in a certain position for us, and he's an important player for the team. The club are aware of the need, are working on it, and the transfer market timeline doesn't always align with the team's needs.

As I said yesterday, Burgos CF are a very solid team with strong defensive organisation. I think they are a team with solidity, proactive in attack, and I'm convinced they will fight for the promotion playoffs to get into LaLiga. They have the squad and the coach to do that.

Solidity and a good showing

Results can sometimes exaggerate our assessments of a game. The team played well today; sometimes we don't get the result that we want, but we also do things well in those games. We have to maintain balance, know what we need to improve, and besides continuing in the Copa del Rey, we have to turn things around in La Liga.

It was important to be in the last group of eight teams. It's a competition with tradition for Valencia CF. We're going to keep competing. Now we are focused on Sunday's match against Getafe CF, and will be taking care of every detail to compete in the best way that we want.
