Chances of qualifying for Europe
“The team have gone nine games without losing, and the goal isn't mathematically achieved yet. That reflects the great challenge we've had ahead of us and the commitment and professionalism we've shown to earn 42 points. It would be a mistake to relax, as that would be undervaluing how much the team have done to turn things around.”
Getafe CF
“I never think there's a good time to face good opponents. It's their form and your form. I emphasise further the fact that a wounded side can always be dangerous opponents. You can never relax against Getafe CF, because they have a very competitive coach and a very competitive squad. We are aware of the difficulty and the work we have to do to win. They are a competitive team; we will have to handle their counterattacks, direct balls upfield and set pieces very well.”
Upcoming Matches
“There isn't a player who wears the Valencia CF shirt who can afford to make the mistake of relaxing, ever. Representing the club is always demanding, every game. Valencia CF will always compete in every game. There's nothing more ambitious than working, analysing, and competing every game to get the three points. Tomorrow, we have a game to play. There is the maximum demand and responsibility to prepare and compete tomorrow.”
The 2025/26 campaign
“The goal must always be to compete in every game to get the three points. For that to happen, you have to give your all and be committed every day, and do the work required. I focus on working and getting the best performance from the players. The sporting management also do their job and allow me to focus on mine, which is the demand and preparation to compete in every game we play.”
Excitement
“In my presentation, I said the goal was to rekindle the excitement among the fans, to generate a special connection on matchdays where the player's dedication, commitment, and pursuit of victory are evident. That makes the fans feel the pride that comes with being a footballer. That's my mentality.”
Planning for the 2025/26 season
“The sporting management are working on this. That allows me to focus on the performance we have in each match. I always have the necessary communication to make decisions that benefit Valencia CF.”
The objective
“My mentality has always been to never take anything for granted, to be completely dedicated to what I do, to recognise what we've been doing, and to be ambitious to continue moving forward and competing. I'm focused on getting the three points tomorrow.”
Managing the squad
“I like the mentality I see in my players. I haven't seen any change since I arrived. I see the same focus, professionalism, dedication, enthusiasm, ambition, and desire. I see it every day, and if I see anything to the contrary, it would upset me. I want to continue seeing the same ambition and humility.”
Rafa Benítez's statements
“I respect him greatly for what he has done throughout his career in general -and for this club. He was a trailblazer and has shaped the history of this club.”
Possible permanent deals for Sadiq and Rafa Mir
“I’m in constant communication with the club's sporting management. I leave any conversations to be done in private.”
