The Green Brigades unfair and unjust exile is at long last coming to a welcome end, with the news that the Glasgow City Council Safety Advisory Group confirming it did not object to the suspension being lifted, subject to three conditions being satisfied.
According to the club, after communications with the Green Brigade, they accepted the conditions on offer, meaning that section 111 will be full once again for Saturday’s all important clash with St Mirren. The extra conditions previously thrown in by Police Scotland and/or their former colleague Mark Hargreaves have not been mentioned but that signals a victory for the Celtic Ultras who stood their ground to protect their own civil liberties.

It will be a welcome boost to the atmosphere in Paradise, something that’s been missing for quite some time in the Green Brigade’s absence, with a noticeable aura of toxicity present in the stands during home fixtures mixed in with quiet periods of reflection as we all wondered what the hell has happened to our football club and out team.
If we were paying for a season ticket based on goals scored we’d be in line for a substantial discount when renewals come out in the next week or so. Not that that is in any way related to the decision to bring back the Green Brigade. Thinking that it’s all about the money for the Celtic Board would be a wrong, these are all Celtic men doing their very best for the club and the supporters and their commitment to the cause could never be questioned.

Getting back to reality, the unjust suspension of the Green Brigade was one of the biggest factors, but the main reason for that ill feeling was, and still is down to the presence of the inept shysters who take their seats in the directors box, the ones who are culpable of the damaging drop in standards at our club on and off the park .
That negativity, frustration and anger won’t simply disappear just because the Green Brigade are back, and if the board think that then more fool them. Change is still required if we want to move forward, that’s not in doubt.

The ban on The Celtic fan media continues. It was imposed for no other reason that the Board did not want the awkward questions that they knew were coming being asked by supporters passionate about the club. If they can’t handle scrutiny from the Celtic fan media in tougher times then that particular project is finished and they will be told where to shove their rota.
But if we want to win the title, and there’s still a decent possibility that we can, then we all need to push in the one direction and back the Celtic players on the park, and put our animosity to one side for the time being. The Green Brigade being present will give us all a much needed vital boost in the four remaining home fixtures we have, with two of them being against our title rivals.

A much more positive and colourful atmosphere can go a long way in the players succeeding in securing a run of five consecutive titles and a 14th flag in 15 seasons.
If we manage to do just that, then we can all deservedly celebrate, and then and only then can we focus our unequivocal attention on those who have shown themselves to be unfit to hold the official positions at our football club.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy
