Last Monday (20), Corinthians published content on its official YouTube channels introducing the assistant coaches of its youth academy teams, more specifically the Under-15, 16, 17, and 20 squads. Throughout the video, the professionals discussed the development processes of young players and analyzed the working methods for each age group.

The professionals featured in the video are: João Paulo Di Fábio (Under-20) and Nilson Esídio (Under-16), who have held their roles since the beginning of this year; Gabriel Amaral, hired at the end of 2025 after standout work at Red Bull Bragantino; and Luciano Netter, who has been part of the Under-15 coaching staff since the 2024 season.

João Paulo Di Fábio

The professional returned to Corinthians at the beginning of this year to serve as assistant coach of the Under-20 team. He had previously been with the club between 2017 and 2023, when he became head coach of the Under-11s and later worked as both coach and assistant with the Under-15s in the final year of his first spell. Between 1995 and 2000, he played in Alvinegro’s youth academy. Besides Corinthians, he has also worked at Nacional, from Barra Funda, and Ibrachina.

“My biggest motivation for continuing to work in football was helping today’s athletes achieve their dreams, just as I had the opportunity to achieve mine. Football is also a great tool for shaping men. I think a coach, in himself, is an important figure and plays a major role in making sure we stay true to the ethics and values that the world needs today,” he told Corinthians TV.

Gabriel Amaral

The professional joined Corinthians in the final stretch of 2025 after doing standout work with Red Bull Bragantino’s Under-17 team, which had strong campaigns in the state and national competitions for the category last year. He began his career in 2016 at Desportivo Brasil, working in the scouting department. He was later “promoted” to coach in the youth ranks of the São Paulo countryside club.

“We are in Brazil, every boy dreams of being a football player. We are at Corinthians, so almost every boy also dreams of being here. That creates a connection and a passion for the day-to-day that makes things, in a way, a little easier. On the other hand, you have to prepare these guys for what life as a professional Corinthians player will provide,” he said.

Nilson Esídio

The former striker played for Corinthians between July and November 1992, scoring 15 goals in 35 matches during that period. In 2024, he returned to Parque São Jorge to serve as coordinator of the Under-18/Under-20B category, which was recently discontinued. Since the beginning of 2026, he has been an assistant and a member of the coaching staff of the Under-16 team, led by Douglas Pilar.

“We’ve already been together since January, three to four months, so you start to get to know each person’s profile. What they’re like day to day, the way they arrive, their behavior, what time they get there, whether they’re doing well. You take one look and say, ‘man, he’s doing well today’ or ‘man, he’s not doing well today,’ and that’s when you step in to find out what happened. Whether he slept badly, had an argument with his mother, father, or girlfriend,” he commented.

Luciano Netter

The professional has a long track record in the beginner youth categories at Corinthians, working with the Under-9 to Under-13 teams. Since 2024, he has been an assistant with the Under-15 team, which was coached by Eduardo Vergueiro.

“We always try to stay close, knowing the work that has been carried out in the higher age groups, so that we can help in our category and the others as well. We have a psychologist focused on this behavioral aspect, and that is a huge gain for the athletes. They are fully focused and balanced emotionally, and that undoubtedly helps them perform well on the field,” he emphasized.
