Corinthians announce squad for Women's Club World Cup

Amid the departure for the Copa das Campeãs (Women's Club World Cup) on the morning of this Tuesday (19th), Corinthians announced the 26 athletes selected for the tournament, which will take place in London, England, from January 28 to February 1. In total, the squad includes: three goalkeepers, three full-backs, four center-backs, nine midfielders, and seven forwards.

In addition to the absence of defender Thaís Regina, who suffered a fracture in the fibula of her left ankle, defender Agustina Barrosso, a signing who returned to the club in 2026, is out of the tournament due to a recurring contracture related to the scar on her left soleus muscle. On the other hand, left out of the list were: Ana Morganti, Rafa Rocha, Juliana Passari, Manu Olivan, Nicole Marussi, and Ellen.

According to a statement released by Corinthians, the first flight departed at 4:25 pm (Brasília time) from terminal 3 of Guarulhos airport, with six athletes and the coaching staff. The second flight will depart at 11:40 pm, with the rest of the Corinthians delegation, from the same location as the first flight. The club expects to have all members present in England starting this Wednesday (20th).

According to Meu Timão, Corinthians should hold training sessions in preparation for the Copa das Campeãs at the facilities of Barnet FC, from the English fourth division. The Brabas will debut in the competition next January 28 (Wednesday), at 9:30 am (Brasília time), against Gotham FC from the United States, in the tournament's semifinal, in West London – Gtech Community Stadium. The other semifinal will be between Arsenal and ASFAR, from Morocco. The final will be held at Emirates Stadium, home of the Gunners.
