According to Globo.com, Corinthians will not consider replacing head coach Dorival Júnior during the FIFA break to 31 March, despite seven matches without a win and pressure from sections of the support.

The stance followed the 1-1 draw with Flamengo at Neo Química Arena, where fans voiced frustration from the stands.

Football executive Marcelo Paz pointed to two recent national trophies under Dorival and his rapport with the squad, while acknowledging form has dipped. He cited injuries and availability issues, with Yuri sidelined for a long spell, Lingard still awaiting registration, and Kaio César restricted to few minutes. Paz called for patience and said he favours long-term work, adding he is making no move to change coach.

Dorival said he understands the scrutiny but believes this season is organised and that similar spells affect many teams. He argued performances still show possession and structure at both ends and noted a short recovery period means preparation is ongoing. He said he sees a determined group and has no doubt positive moments will follow across the campaign.

Corinthians next face Fluminense at the Maracanã on the 1st at 21:30, Brasília time, in the seventh round of the Brasileirão. The squad will work for seven days at CT Joaquim Grava, with two days off before returning on Wednesday afternoon. The team sit 11th with 10 points.
