Corinthians back to work on Thursday, with July friendly and August cup ties | OneFootball

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians return to CT Dr Joaquim Grava on Thursday 25 after a 25-day break to begin preparations for the second half of the 2026 season.

The longer holiday followed a shortened close-season after the club played the Copa do Brasil final in late December, leaving limited time before the Paulista began.

They restart with the final fixture of the first round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, against Remo on 23 July at Neo Química Arena, then play the full returno. They are 10th on 24 points, a position that currently delivers a 2027 Copa Sudamericana place.

In the Copa do Brasil round of 16 they face Internacional on 2 and 6 August, first at Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre, then back at Neo Química Arena.

In the Libertadores last 16 they meet Rosario Central on 13 and 20 August, with the second leg in Brazil. The winners will play Estudiantes or Universidad Católica in the quarter-finals.

Before competitive action resumes, Fernando Diniz’s side have a 12 July friendly against FC Cascavel at Estádio Olímpico Regional in Cascavel, Paraná.

The club could look to sell at least one regular starter to balance finances, and striker Yuri Alberto has raised the prospect of a move to Europe when the window opens in July. Incoming signings are blocked while a Fifa transfer ban, in place for about a month, remains over a debt from the 2024 signing of José Martínez from Philadelphia Union.
