Corinthians completed final preparations on Saturday to face Cruzeiro in the 23rd round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, on Sunday, 9, at 19:30 at Neo Química Arena.
According to Meu Timao, the day began with a video briefing in the Sala de Prelexão Flexform, followed by strength work in the gym and a warm-up on the pitch.
Fernando Diniz then ran a 10 v 10 tactical drill and addressed match scenarios, before the squad finished with set pieces.
With only one session held since the tie against Rosario Central in the Copa Libertadores round of 16, Diniz may rotate with the continental tournament in mind.
A probable Corinthians side features Hugo Souza in goal, a back four of Pedro Milans, André Ramalho, João Pedro and Fabrizio Angileri, a midfield of Allan, Matheus Pereira, Breno Bidon and Dieguinho, and a front two of Jesse Lingard and Gui Negão.
Seven players remain in the medical department. Yuri Alberto has a right hamstring injury, Pedro Raul has a rib trauma, André Luiz has a grade 2 right hamstring problem, and Vitinho is recovering from surgery on the left knee meniscus. Hugo Farias is in transition after a right lateral meniscus injury, Kayke is recovering from left ACL surgery, and Zakaria Labyad has a meniscus injury with a ruptured left ACL.
Corinthians are eighth with 32 points and chasing a Copa Libertadores place. Cruzeiro are fifth with one point more. Depending on this round's results, Timão could finish the weekend fifth.
