Corinthians confirm youth striker's exit in BID after contract dispute

Late on Monday night, October 13, Corinthians registered in the Daily Information Bulletin (BID) the termination of forward Justin Tyler Remedi, 19 years old, after a dispute involving his departure, as reported by the Meu Timão portal at the end of last week. Recall here.

The player was one of 87 signings—considering the U-17 and U-20—during Augusto Melo's administration (between January 2024 and May 2025), in which Claudinei Alves was the general director of Corinthians’ youth categories. After Osmar Stabile took over as club president in the interim mandate—until December 2026—Carlos Alberto Aurrichhio (Nenê do Posto) was appointed as the new director of the department and has been reducing expenses in the sector.

Considering this period as interim, there have already been 53 departures registered in all Corinthians youth categories under Osmar Stabile’s management—36 of them in the U-17 and U-20 alone. The previous board was removed at the General Assembly of Members following developments in the VaideBet case with the São Paulo Civil Police.

In the process of restructuring the youth academy, the current management prioritized terminating training contracts, that is, those that do not require the payment of a termination fee. For players without space and with professional contracts, the department sought amicable terminations.

In the case of Justin Tyler, the American player had already had a stint in Corinthians’ youth academy in 2022—under the administration of former president Duílio Monteiro Alves (2021-2023)—and was released, just as in this second spell with the club’s youth team. In almost ten months during his second stint at Corinthians’ youth academy, the American trained with the main U-20 team but ended up playing some friendlies with the U-20 B team.

Last Friday (10th), Corinthians also registered the departure of left-back Gustavo Baiano (2006)—also signed for the youth academy during Augusto Melo’s administration—who was returned to Retrô, from Pernambuco. The Alvinegro did not exercise the option to buy the player.
