Corinthians consider letting João Pedro Tchoca join Torino on loan

Corinthians is close to finalizing the departure of defender João Pedro Tchoca to Italian football. The defender has caught the attention of Torino, and the negotiation now depends on a decision from coach Dorival Júnior, who is considering the player's release for the continuation of the European season.

According to Meu Timão, the Italian club has made a loan offer with a purchase option contingent on meeting certain contract conditions. If Torino decides to acquire the player at the end of the loan, the amounts involved range from 5.5 to 6 million euros, which is approximately R$ 34.3 million to R$ 37.2 million. Additionally, Corinthians will receive a financial amount for loaning the athlete.

The interest from Torino was initially reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. The decision on the deal depends solely on the position of the Corinthians technical staff, as João Pedro remains part of the squad and was an option on the bench in the match against Velo Clube in the Paulista Championship.

João Pedro Tchoca is under contract with the club until 2030. In December 2025, the defender was ranked among the top ten players under 23 in the Brazilian Serie A Championship, according to a report by the CIES Football Observatory.

Developed in the youth categories of Corinthians, the defender was the captain of the team that won the São Paulo Junior Football Cup in 2024. In that same year, he was loaned to Ceará and later returned to permanently join the professional squad. Since then, he has played 29 matches for the club, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

In the last season, João Pedro started the year as a starter under Ramón Díaz and continued in the initial months. As the championship progressed, he lost his spot but was used more frequently towards the end of the Brasileirão, especially during André Ramalho's absence.
