Corinthians continue mid-season camp with technical and tactical drills | OneFootball

Corinthians are in their second week of mid-season work, with Fernando Diniz sharpening technical and tactical details at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava. Tuesday’s session progressed preparations for the second half of the campaign.

Players began with strength work in the gym, then moved to the pitch for warm-ups. They split by units for passing routines with finishing and defensive coordination, before a main exercise on build-up play, chance creation and runs into the final third. The club said in a statement that training resumes on Wednesday morning.

The team will face FC Cascavel in a friendly on Sunday at 16:00 at Estádio Olímpico Regional in Paraná.

Memphis Depay is yet to report. The number 10 represented the Netherlands at the World Cup and stayed until 29 June, when Morocco advanced on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time. He did not play in that round-of-16 tie and is now on holiday, with its length yet to be set by the club.

In the second half of the year, Corinthians have the Brasileirão schedule plus round-of-16 ties in the Copa do Brasil and the Libertadores, against Internacional and Rosario Central respectively. Their next official match is on 23 July, hosting Remo at 19:30 at Neo Química Arena, the 19th round that closes the league’s first round.
