Corinthians have dismissed Renan Bloise from his role as football manager and scout, with the executive bidding farewell to staff on Wednesday. Time do Povo first reported the decision.

The move was taken directly by president Osmar Stabile. The exit is not related to the arrival of Lucas Vergne from Vasco da Gama, who will serve as a performance analyst under Fernando Diniz.

Corinthians are expected to seek a football manager in the coming days to strengthen the department, putting on hold, for now, the search for a specialist scout.

Behind the scenes, Bloise’s remit stretched beyond his title. Encouraged by former executive director Fabinho Soldado, he observed training at pitchside and acted as a link between the board, coaching staff and squad.

Fluent in English, he was central to communication with foreign players, effectively serving as Memphis Depay’s translator. As recently as Tuesday, he stood alongside the number 10, interpreting a conversation with Diniz.

Even after Soldado’s exit at the end of 2025, Bloise remained and retained internal backing, including from executive Marcelo Paz. Paz had indicated he counted on Bloise as football manager while the club assessed, without progress, hiring a former player for the post.

There was, however, pressure from figures in the club’s political sphere for his removal, largely due to his association with Soldado. Stabile initially rejected that possibility with Paz’s approval, then opted to proceed with the dismissal.
