Corinthians duo to play final FIFA window matches on Tuesday | OneFootball

Goalkeeper Hugo Souza and midfielder André Carrillo, both of Corinthians, are in action on Tuesday in their countries’ final fixtures of this FIFA window. According to Meu Timao, their involvement rules them out of Wednesday night’s trip to Fluminense, which kicks off at 21:30.

First up, Carrillo’s Peru face Honduras at 15:00 at the Estadio Nacional in Lima. He started in Saturday’s defeat by Senegal.

Later, Brazil meet Croatia at 21:00 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, United States. Souza is expected to be on the bench, while Ederson is expected to start.

Corinthians explored chartering a plane to bring the pair back to Brazil, but abandoned the idea due to high costs and potential fatigue.

This is the final FIFA window before the 2026 World Cup. Souza hopes to earn a call-up for a tournament staged in the United States, Canada and Mexico, while Peru have not qualified.
