Corinthians earned more from renting out the Neo Química Arena to Santos than from their own gate at Vila Belmiro in last week’s stadium swap.

According to Meu Timao, Santos’ 0-0 draw with Red Bull Bragantino on Sunday, in the fifth round of the Campeonato Paulista, brought a R$ 950 mil stadium rental fee to Corinthians. The crowd was 30,609 and gross takings reached R$ 2.344.295,00, with R$ 1.539.599,89 in deductions, leaving Santos R$ 804.695,11 net.

On Wednesday, Corinthians lost 2-1 to Bahia at Vila Belmiro in the opening round of the Campeonato Brasileiro de 2026. Attendance was 13,577 and revenue totalled R$ 1.162.555,00, with R$ 650.606,34 deducted, including R$ 300 mil rent, leaving Corinthians R$ 511.948,66 net.

Santos chose the capital to mark São Paulo’s 472nd anniversary and to seek a larger turnout. The Bahia fixture had been set for 29 January at the Neo Química Arena, however the venue change gave Corinthians one more day of rest before the Supercopa do Brasil against Flamengo, as they could not play in São Paulo on the same date as São Paulo versus Flamengo in the league opener.

Across both games, Corinthians’ combined gain was R$ 1.461.948,66, while Santos’ net came to R$ 1.104.695,11. Dorival Júnior’s side face Flamengo on Sunday, the first of February, at 16:00 at Mané Garrincha in the Supercopa do Brasil 2026 final.
