Corinthians end 23rd round of Brasileirão in 9th place, check the table

On the evening of this Monday, the 15th, the Brazilian Championship had the remaining matches of the 23rd round, which began on Saturday, the 13th, the same day as the Corinthians match, where they defeated Fluminense 1-0 at the Maracanã Stadium. And after all the matches were played, Timão has something to celebrate, as they managed to maintain the positions gained after their victory in Rio de Janeiro.

Thus, the People's Team remains in ninth place in the standings, with 29 points, totaling seven wins, eight draws, and eight losses, along with 24 goals scored and 28 goals conceded. Besides distancing themselves from the relegation zone, seven points away from the team, Corinthians also got closer to the G-6, whose last team, Botafogo, has 35 points – although with two games in hand.

The distance of Timão in relation to their state rivals also changed during the round. Palmeiras, for example, occupies third place in the Brasileirão with 46 points. Meanwhile, Mirassol is in fourth place with 38 points. São Paulo is in seventh with 35 points, one position ahead of Red Bull Bragantino, which has 31 points.

Additionally, Corinthians remains ahead of Santos in the table, as the coastal team occupies the 16th position with 23 points. It will now be up to Timão to continue their reaction in the next round, where they face Sport away, at Ilha do Retiro, this Sunday, the 21st, at 5:30 PM (Brasília time).
