Corinthians have extended 22-year-old goalkeeper Kauê Camargo’s contract until 4 July 2031, with the new deal registered in the CBF’s Boletim Informativo Diário, the BID.
The previous agreement ran to December 2029 after a renewal in March 2025 under former president Augusto Melo. According to ge.globo, his release clause has risen from 50 million euros to 100 million, R$ 579 million at current rates, with a domestic figure of R$ 128 million based on up to 2,000 times his salary.
After impressing in the youth ranks, notably the Under-20s, he made his senior debut in December last year, a 1-1 draw against Juventude at Neo Química Arena in the 38th round of the Brasileirão.
In 2026 he became the immediate understudy to Hugo Souza, moving ahead of Felipe Longo and Matheus Donelli, whose loan to Shabab Al Ahli in the United Arab Emirates was extended. His record stands at five appearances and five goals conceded.
He joined the club at Under-15 level, stood out in 2019, was promoted to the Under-17s in 2020, then earned a place in the Under-20s in 2021 after changes in the squad. He trained with the first team in 2022 under Fernando Lázaro, totalling 94 matches across the Under-17 and Under-20 sides.
Camargo featured in Sunday’s friendly with Cascavel, a 1-1 draw. The Filho do Terrão will be an option against Remo on 23 at 19:30 at Neo Química Arena in the 19th round of the Brasileirão.
