Corinthians have registered a fresh extension for 22-year-old goalkeeper Kauê Camargo, tying him to the club until 4 July 2031. The deal was lodged in the CBF’s Boletim Informativo Diário, superseding the agreement that ran to December 2029 after a renewal in March 2025 under former president Augusto Melo.

Ge.globo reports that his release clause has doubled from 50 million euros to 100 million euros, about R$579 million at current rates. For the domestic market it is R$128 million, calculated on the player’s salary multiplied by up to 2,000.

After impressing in the youth ranks, notably at Under-20 level, he made his senior debut in December last year, a 1-1 draw with Juventude at Neo Química Arena in the 38th round of the Brasileirão.

This year he became the immediate understudy to Hugo Souza, moving ahead of Felipe Longo and Matheus Donelli, whose loan to Shabab Al Ahli in the United Arab Emirates was extended. He has made five appearances, conceding five goals.

Camargo joined Corinthians at Under-15 level, stepped up to Under-17 in 2020, then earned his Under-20 chance in 2021. He trained with the first team in 2022 under Fernando Lázaro and totalled 94 matches across Under-17 and Under-20.

He featured in Sunday’s 1-1 friendly with Cascavel. The Filho do Terrão is in contention to face Remo on the 23rd at 19:30 at Neo Química Arena, in the 19th round of the Brasileirão.
