Corinthians supporters have backed keeping 17-year-old goalkeeper Ana Morganti beyond this year, with the teenager now in the final six months of her contract and able to sign a pre-contract elsewhere.
According to Meu Timao, 91.2% of respondents favoured a renewal in a site poll, while 8.8% felt she should seek another club for 2027.
Promoted to the senior squad at the end of 2025, Morganti trains regularly with the Brabas but is yet to make her debut. After Kemelli moved to Fluminense, then head coach Lucas Piccinato selected her to join the first-team group.
A standout in the academy since arriving in 2022, she was pivotal in last season’s Brasileirão Sub-17 title. She saved two penalties in the quarter-final against Ferroviária to send Corinthians through, and the team later beat Grêmio in the final.
Morganti already has Brazil experience. In 2024, aged 15, she started at the South American Under-17 and helped win the title. Last year she captained the side to a runners-up finish, and she also featured in the run to fourth at the Under-17 World Cup, the best finish in the nation’s history.
In 2026 she is with the Under-20s and has trained with the senior national team. At club level she is one of four goalkeepers available to Emily Lima, alongside Lelê, Nicole and Rillary. Corinthians host Ferroviária at 19:00 next Friday at the Fazendinha in the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista.
