Corinthians supporters want Jesse Lingard in the starting line-up against Fluminense at the Maracanã on Wednesday. A majority back his inclusion from the off.
According to Meu Timao, 56.5% chose him as an automatic starter and 30.7% backed him to begin because of absences. Memphis Depay and Gui Negão are sidelined with muscle injuries.
A smaller share urged caution, with 8.8% saying he needs match rhythm and 4% preferring him as a second-half option.
The report adds he has been tested with the starters in training. If selected, he would partner Yuri Alberto, a first-time pairing in the 2026 season.
Presented in early March, Lingard trained with the squad while awaiting a work visa for registration. With the paperwork cleared, he is available to make his debut.
He arrives from FC Seoul in South Korea after two seasons, playing 66 matches, scoring 19 goals and providing 10 assists. His last competitive game was in December 2025.
He has signed until the end of 2026, with an automatic extension to 2027 if set targets are met.
