Organised Corinthians supporters hung protest banners on the walls of CT Joaquim Grava, a day after confronting players outside the training ground. The unrest targeted the squad amid growing dissatisfaction.

According to Globo.com, the signs went up early on Tuesday, before the squad arrived for their first session under Fernando Diniz, hired as head coach until the end of 2026.

The messages read "Elenco vagabundo", "Jogadores omissos", "Acabou a paciência" and "Ou joga por amor ou terror".

Corinthians have not won for almost two months. Their last victory came on 19 February, a win over Athletico-PR at Arena da Baixada in the 2nd round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Since then they have gone nine matches without a win, drawing or losing each time. In that period they slid in the Brasileirão table and were knocked out in the Campeonato Paulista semi-finals, a run that ended with Dorival Júnior sacked as coach.

On Thursday the team open their Conmebol Libertadores campaign away to Platense in Argentina. The fixture will also be Diniz’s first match in charge.
