Corinthians supporters staged a protest against Dorival Júnior and his players after a 3-1 defeat to Fluminense at the Maracanã on Wednesday night. According to Meu Timao, it was the first time the coach had been targeted by the travelling Fiel inside the stadium.
Supporters urged him to pay attention and to respect the Corinthians shirt after the match.
The anger also turned on the squad, with demands for greater commitment and respect for the club after a display that offered little at the Maracanã. Some fans contrasted recent performances with past desire and told players to show character.
The result intensified scrutiny of Dorival Júnior. Corinthians are now eight games without a win, a run they had not endured since 2023. Their last victory came in February, 1-0 against Athletico-PR.
Corinthians sit 11th on 10 points and could edge closer to the relegation places depending on other results this round. They host Internacional at Neo Química Arena on Sunday at 19:30 in the 10th round of the Brasileirão.
