Deives, 41, a Corinthians futsal great, has joined Podpah Funkbol Clube as their legendary card in Kings League Brazil.

According to Meu Timao, the slot is usually reserved for former standouts and allows teams to deploy the player at any moment. Podpah are one of 10 clubs in the competition, a format akin to Fut7.

Deives retired at the end of last season after finishing runners-up in the Liga Nacional de Futsal and the Paulista. This year he turned out for River Plate, an amateur side from Não Me Toque in Rio Grande do Sul, trained with Corinthians’ under-20s and took part in a tour of Japan with the senior group.

Across 10 seasons at Corinthians, split between 2015-2016 and 2018-2025, he won 16 trophies, including the Liga Nacional de Futsal in 2016 and 2022 and multiple Paulista and national cups.

He registered 156 goals and 24 assists in 246 official appearances. In 2025 he was the club’s top scorer with 25 goals and the second-highest for assists with 24, featuring in 42 of 53 games.

The Kings League blends professionals, ex-players and streamers, with shorter matches and modified rules. Podpah sit seventh in the standings.
