Corinthians’ Gaviões da Fiel outline talks with prosecutors and confirm new SAFiel Q&A | OneFootball

Gaviões da Fiel, Corinthians’ largest organised supporters’ group, has issued a statement on Wednesday addressing two flashpoints, the MP-SP civil inquiry into potential judicial intervention at the club and the SAFiel 2.0 project to run the club’s football via a SAF. It detailed recent talks with prosecutors and confirmed a fresh hearing with the project’s backers.

According to Meu Timao, the group have met in recent weeks with MP-SP representatives, among them prosecutors Cássio Roberto Conserino, André Paschoal and Luiz Ambra Neto. Conserino has led various criminal probes into recent club administrations, while Paschoal and Ambra Neto are handling the intervention inquiry.

The dialogue culminated in a meeting on Tuesday, attended by the supporters’ board, members of its deliberative council and Corinthians associates linked to Chapa Arquibancada 85 slate, to discuss the inquiry’s current stage with Ambra Neto.

The process remains in the investigative phase, covering information gathering, document review and technical assessment. No decision or pre-emptive measure is in place, with any outcome dependent on the authorities completing their analyses.

The group frames its close monitoring around long-standing weaknesses in the club’s internal oversight, viewing judicial involvement as essential to protect assets and to punish any irregularities, regardless of who is responsible.

Its deliberative council has also confirmed a new Q&A with SAFiel’s architects, on a date to be set, to deepen explanations and widen debate among the leadership, members and the proposers.
