Easter and chocolate go hand in hand, and Corinthians have dished out some of football’s sweetest thrashings. Meu Timao highlights the standout ‘chocolates’ across the club’s 115-year history.

On 22 November 2015, at Neo Química Arena, a reserve side under Tite routed São Paulo 6-1. Three up by half-time, Lucca finished after Danilo’s backheel, Cristian scored a penalty and Cássio saved one.

At Pacaembu on 6 November 2005, Corinthians crushed Santos 7-1 in the Brasileiro. Carlos Tévez hit a hat-trick, Nilmar scored twice, with Rosinei and Marcelo Mattos also on target.

On 11 July 1920 at Vila Belmiro, Corinthians beat Santos 11-0, a record margin. Amílcar Barbuy’s team led 5-0 at half-time, added more through Amílcar, Neco and Gambarotta, then the game ended after Ary Patusca’s own goal and further Santos dismissals.

On 10 March 1999, a Libertadores tie with Cerro Porteño finished 8-2 at Pacaembu. Edílson opened, Fernando Baiano hit five, including three in seven minutes and a late clincher, with Índio and Sylvinho also scoring.

In 2017 the women’s side won 22-0 against Centro Olímpico in the Paulista, facing nine players and an outfield goalkeeper. There were 12 scorers, with Grazi netting seven and Byanca Brasil three. In 2023 they routed Palmeiras 8-0 in a Paulista semi-final at the Neo Química Arena.
