Corinthians hand pay rise to Under-17 striker

On the evening of last Thursday, October 2, Corinthians' Under-17 forward Léo Amistá announced on his social media the signing of a new contract with the club. Central do Timão found out that the duration of his contract remains the same—March 2028—but with an increase in the national release clause, as well as a salary increase.

Central do Timão contacted a source from Corinthians' youth academy to inquire about the new release clause value, which was not disclosed. However, according to Meu Timão, the national release clause jumped from R$ 10 million to R$ 18.4 million. On the other hand, the clause for foreign clubs remains at R$ 50 million.

Following Brazilian legislation, the release clause for the national market is—at most—two thousand times his salary. Born in 2009, the athlete celebrated the moment on his social media: “God! We keep going for more,” he said in an Instagram post. In the 2025 season, he has scored two goals in 14 games (eight wins and six losses).

In 2024, he barely played due to a knee ligament injury suffered in 2023. In the current season, Amistá has been a substitute for Corinthians' Under-17 category, led by coach Raphael Laruccia, and has been facing issues with muscle injuries, preventing a longer sequence on the field.
