According to Globo.com, Corinthians now have 12 players who have reached the 12-appearance limit in the Campeonato Brasileiro, meaning they cannot represent another club in this season’s competition.
Most are regular starters or frequent options off the bench for Fernando Diniz. The 12 are: Garro 18 games, Breno Bidon 16, Hugo Souza 16, Raniele 16, Gustavo Henrique 15, Matheus Bidu 15, André 14, Carrillo 14, Gabriel Paulista 14, Matheuzinho 14, Yuri Alberto 14, Allan 13.
No 10 Memphis Depay has endured fitness problems in the first half of the season and has only eight league appearances.
Others still eligible to move within the competition this season include Matheus Pereira, Lingard, Labyad, Dieguinho, Pedro Raul, Vitinho, André Ramalho, Angileri, Kaio César, Kayke, Gui Negão, Charles, Pedro Milans, João Pedro Tchoca, Kauê and Alex Santana.
A deficit of R$ 131.1 million was recorded in the first quarter, and the board estimates it needs to raise about €25 million net, R$ 144.1 million at current rates, in the mid-year window. Players such as Yuri Alberto, Breno Bidon and André could be sold to clubs abroad.
The next transfer window will open two days after the World Cup final.
